kallahar writes KPFK yesterday had a pair of guests on who were debating whether we should attack Iraq or not. One important point of conflict was the sanctions that we have imposed on them for the last 12 years. On the one hand, they force Iraq to sell their oil to non-UN countries (which are happy to buy) but on the other hand they prevent things like food being delivered to children. The primary difference between the two camps: one looks at the government as a whole; the other looks at the people individually. I think every person matters and if we don't act in the goodwill of each and every person then we're doing it wrong.
